Anti thought process. What I hate about doge douche danielle is she’s a reporter. She has no training in economics, business, commerce, law …. And the list goes. She’s just inept.
Truly frightening but I’m perplexed by the absence of the opposition. In the USA… the Democrats are accused of passive & muted silence. I am beginning to wonder the same here in Alberta. Time to write our NDP MLA’s?
I am very glad to see this issue addressed. I keep waiting to hear something from the UCP, guidance and information for parents about how to prevent this illness, but...crickets. Have I missed it? Or will it take the death of a child to finally wake them up?
This is such a tragedy, and should be huge news, on all major and independent news sites. What we know about human behaviour is that we default to the path of least resistance, we respond strongly to behavioural cues from others around us while considering our own choices, and we can be strongly influenced by the physical and information environment around us. Although I don't think vaccines should be mandatory (which would be an authoritarian approach), I do think that information and access regarding vaccines should be structured in a way that is factual and completely truthful, but strongly encourages people to follow the vaccine protocols laid out in our health care system, and makes it as easy as possible for people to do so.
That this, during COVID-times, became a conversation about "individual rights" was absurd, especially when, in this case, this approach might genuinely be preserving an uninformed child's "individual right" to an early death from a preventable disease. Parents can't provide informed consent if they're not informed about the risks of their kids not getting vaccinated, and kids can't make these decisions for themselves.
This "individual rights" emphasis also allows people to abdicate their responsibility to protect the vulnerable people around them through contributing their own bodies to herd immunity. It's definitely hard for me to get past this deeply selfish response from others around vaccination.

Well said Amanda. It's all making me feel betrayed by my own native province.
